Abstract

The planning for the construction of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) Center Building at Campus 3 Bukittinggi is motivated by the need to improve student facilities as a means of developing student potential and creativity. In the implementation of construction projects, budget planning has an important role to ensure the efficient use of funds and control of expenses so that the project runs according to plan. This study aims to systematically compile a Cost Budget Plan (RAB) for the construction of the UKM Center Building, based on technical data, job specifications, and applicable construction cost calculation standards. The research method includes identifying the type of work, calculating the work volume, analyzing unit prices using the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and Regional Work Unit Prices (HSP), and preparing a time schedule as a cost and time control tool. The research sample is technical planning data for the construction of the UKM Center Building, Campus 3, Muhammadiyah University of West Sumatra. The calculation results show a total construction cost of Rp763,641,840.33 with an estimated implementation duration of 16 weeks or 112 calendar days. The conclusion of the study is that the compiled RAB document can function as a budget reference, cost control, project feasibility evaluation, and the basis for determining the contract value. With accurate and standardized budget planning, the project is expected to be implemented according to the predetermined quality, cost and time targets.
