Abstract
Bridges are one of the vital infrastructures that play an important role in supporting smooth transportation and the community’s economy. The condition of the Batang Babuai Bridge, which is no longer adequate in terms of structural strength and load capacity, requires a replacement project with a safer and more efficient structure. This study aims to analyze the management of cost estimation planning (RAB) in the construction of a box culvert in Batang Babuai, Agam Regency, in order to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of project cost planning.
The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. Data were obtained through field observations, documentation, as well as the collection of primary and secondary data in the form of working drawings, work volumes, material price lists, and wages. The analysis was carried out by calculating the work volume based on technical drawings, then preparing the cost estimate (RAB) according to the 2024 Bina Marga Standard Unit Price Analysis (AHSP) and the Agam Regency HSPK.
The results show that the total work volume includes drainage works, earthworks, granular pavement, asphalt pavement, bridge structure, and daily works. The cost estimate calculation produced a total project cost in accordance with AHSP and HSPK provisions. From the deviation analysis between planning and realization, the cost estimate preparation proved to be effective in controlling project costs, with efficiency reflected in the minimal budget discrepancies. In addition, time management and resource control factors also influenced the success of project implementation.
This research is expected to provide an overview of the importance of cost estimate (RAB) management in infrastructure projects and serve as a reference for cost planning in similar projects in the future.
