Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) training on construction workers in high-rise building projects in West Sumatra. The research background is based on the high risk of accidents in construction projects, necessitating K3 training to enhance workers' safety awareness and behavior. This study employs a quantitative method, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents who have undergone K3 training. The data were analyzed using validity, reliability, and normality tests with the assistance of SPSS 26. The results indicate that K3 training significantly improves compliance in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), understanding workplace hazards, and worker productivity. However, the indicator measuring comprehension of safety culture (X11) had the lowest validity, suggesting a need for improvement in training material delivery. The questionnaire reliability test yielded a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.886, confirming the research instrument's reliability. In conclusion, K3 training effectively enhances workplace safety but requires reinforcement through more practical approaches and periodic refresher courses. Recommendations for future research include expanding the sample size, developing more precise measurement tools, and strengthening supervision of K3 implementation in the field.
