Abstract
Roads are infrastructure in supporting the economy and play a role in the progress of a region. The research was conducted on Jl. Sukarno Hatta, Bukittinggi. The width of the road on this section is 7m each lane has a width of 3.5m. The purpose of this study is to plan thick pavement using MDPJ 2024 and analyze the performance of the pavement structure using the Kenpave program, and evaluate the remaining service life value of the road pavement. This study used the Bina Marga 2024 method and was analyzed using the Kenpave program. The results of flexible pavement thickness planning using Bina Marga 2024, Alternative 1 surface layer using Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course (AC-WC) with a thickness of 4 cm, The intermediate layer using Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course (AC-BC) with a thickness of 7,5 cm. Furthermore, the upper foundation layer uses Asphalt Concrete - Base (AC-Base) with a thickness of 10 cm. As for the lower foundation layer, Laston Foundation Aggregate (LFA) Class A with a thickness of 20 cm is used. The strain values that occur in the existing pavement structure indicate quite significant structural damage. Horizontal tensile strain of 0.0001754 occurs at a depth of 17.9997 cm, potentially causing damage in the form of fatigue cracks. At the same depth, a vertical strain of 0.0002306 is detected which contributes to damage (rutting). At a depth of 48.0003 cm, which is right on the base soil, a strain of 0.0002400 is obtained, which risks causing (permanent deformation). These strain values indicate that the pavement structure is experiencing excessive stress in several layers. The remaining service life value obtained in alternative 1 shows that damage due to fatigue has a remaining life of 98.407%. Meanwhile, damage due to rutting is 91.283%, and damage due to deformation shows a remaining life value of 79.717%.
